Promote Your Products…

…With eMail Marketing

Are you nervous about using eMail marketing…even though it can add THOUSANDS of extra dollars to your

bottom line?

Unfortunately for all of us legitimate email marketers, the spammers out there have created a climate of fear around using email to promote products.

Who the heck wants to be accused of spamming, right?

But let me be clear: You DO NOT have to worry about being called a spammer — either falsely, or because you made an honest mistake — as long as you’re following a few very simple guidelines for keeping your mailing list clean.

Here’s all you need to do…

1. Manage your unsubscribes

Make sure people can easily ask to be removed from your list, and then process those requests right away! It’s your BEST defense against spam complaints. In fact, continuing to mail to someone who has asked to unsubscribe is downright illegal, so you’ll want to make sure you’re always on top of this.

2. Remove “bounce backs”

When you mail a message to an old, expired email address, that message will be sent back to you as undeliverable. Ideally, you want to remove these so-called “bounce backs” from your list as

soon as they come in.

This shows the major ISPs (like Hotmail,Gmail, and Yahoo) that you’re committed to keeping a clean list, and will increase their confidence in your mailings.

3. Remove duplicate addresses

When you send multiple copies of an email to the same person, not only is it annoying, but it can also prompt them to reach for the “this is spam” button in their eMail program.

You can avoid generating false spam complaints by making sure you remove your duplicate eMail addresses regularly.

If you familiarize yourself with the basic CAN-SPAM laws, and carry out these three simple “housekeeping” tasks regularly, you won’t ever have to worry about being “blacklisted” by ISPs (which means they won’t accept ANY of your eMail!), or having a big chunk of your eMails delivered straight to people’s spam boxes.

And when you use email marketing software, like Mailloop, you can do all of this automatically — without lifting a finger!

When you use Mailloop for your email marketing, you can avoid being falsely accused of spamming by…

  • Removing “bounce backs” automatically
  • Automatically deleting “unsubscribes”
  • Removing “invalid” email addresses BEFORE you ever hit send
  • Protecting yourself from phony subscription requests, with the option of using a double opt-in system that confirms each subscription
  • Checking the content of every email before you send it to confirm it’s not accidentally triggering spam filters

(Sometimes just a couple of wrong words can make the difference between getting all of your mail delivered, and 50% going to “junk” folders.)
