A Great Web Site Isn’t Always Enough
This week we’ve got more great advice about networking from the renowned Father of Modern Networking, Ivan Misner.
We’ve talked about how networking can help you cultivate referrals before, but Misner has some additional insight.
“Networking for business growth must be strategic and focused…everything you do can be driven by the intention to grow your business. You have total control over whom you meet, where you meet them and how you develop and leverage relationships for mutual benefit.”
So it’s important to remember that every person you meet has the potential to help you grow your business, and although ultimately not every person you meet will benefit your business, you don’t know until you ask!
“Networking your business means you have to be proactive.
The core of networking is doing something specific each week that is focused on networking for business growth.
Make a plan, focus and be consistent.”
So set some goals and develop a strategy. Get involved with as many networking organizations as possible. Be proactive, build those relationships and watch the referrals roll in!
