According to Shop.org‘s “State of Retailing Online Profitability, Economy and Multichannel” report released last month, 81% of survey respondents said that e-commerce was profitable for their business in 2007.
In fact, 75% said their e-commerce solution was more profitable last year than in 2006—a trend that’s expecting to continue this year as well, despite the bleak outlook for brick-and-mortar retailers.
