Finding the best time to meet
Wherever two or more need to gather, finding the best time for the next meeting can be frustrating. There are several new web-based tools to help you avoid the countless phone calls and emails usually associated with organizing any meeting. There are a number of online tools available, including TimeBridge.com, Jifflenow.com, GatherGrid.com, Tungle.com and WhenIsGood.net. They all work in a similar fashion. The organizer chooses potential times using an online calendar, and then notifies attendees, who select their most convenient times. Some of the sites allow the organizer to pick the final time; others do it automatically based on consensus.
A new, free web tool, LuckyCal can be described as calendar meets social networking. It makes it easier for users to meet up with friends and business associates by integrating work and personal calendars with those of your friends and business associates, with their permission or course. LuckyCal scans colleagues and clients Outlook calendars and Facebook profiles and e-mails you when they are in your area. LuckyCal plans to charge for an enterprise version that launches later this year.
