A passionate proponent of life long learning and continuous personal improvement, Nick wants to understand and then share contextual issues. He is an educator and trainer and much of his writing is focused on the history of information technology, how that effects the way we communicate ideas today and how to design information so it can be easily used by its intended audience. While he is technology focused, Nick measures success by how well his projects meet the client’s business goals and objectives.
Range and balance are an important part of the human experience, and as a former Design Engineer with StorageTek, Nick has a passion for electronics, and industrial and process design. Yet Nick also nurtures his creative side – designing stained glass art, lapidary (stone/gem cutting), and photography. He combines both his analytical and creative sides through graphic design, visual information design, and digital image processing. Beyond that, Nick enjoys teaching and sharing his passions, with individuals, in classrooms, and on stage.
“My passion is Information design and my personal and professional life has been devoted to the art and science of preparing information so that it can be used efficiently and effectively.”
